Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? 7 Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong? 8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself,’[a] you are doing right. 9 But if you show favouritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as law-breakers.

I want to give you a homework project. Do one thing as a result of today's message. It may be to commit to worship every Sunday in 2019. To start memorizing a Bible verse a week, start having a quiet time every day -- 5, 10, 15 minutes. Do something! Don't waste it. When you see the birds in the air after church – I want you to think about how you are making yourself good soil. And my prayer for you is that in 2019 God would do some incredible things in and through you.

Lord help us to have roots that go deep, to have an open mind to hear you and to take the time so that we don’t miss what you are trying to say to us. Part of the reason we celebrate the Lord’s supper each month is so that we stop and listen to what the Lord wants to say to us. In communion he tells us he loves us, he tells us he forgives us, and he tells us that as his children we are to go out into the world and share his love and forgiveness.
